Apple will now allow users to migrate their digital purchases between their accounts. The iPhone maker posted a support document explaining that users can move between Apple music, movies or others on various Mac, MobileMe, iTunes and iTools apps, MacRumors reported.
Anything purchased on a secondary account can be migrated to the main account which is used for making purchases and iCloud.
Users will find the option in the ‘Media & Purchases’ section in their account on their iPhone or iPad in the Settings app. During migration, users need their primary email address, phone number, password for both accounts and two-factor authentication should be turned on. Both accounts must be logged into through their iPad or iPhone.
However, there are a few exceptions to the rule. Users won’t be able to migrate purchases from or to a child’s account inside Family Sharing. They can also migrate purchases to an account just once a year.
Users can also undo the migration if they want later.
Additionally, the option still isn’t available in the EU, UK and India yet.
