Samsung Galaxy Ring finally gets its launch date in India this week and now we also know how much its first smart ring is going to cost for buyers in the country. The Galaxy Ring made its debut at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event in Paris earlier this year which brought the full version out to the public and now Indians can also invest in this device.
The Galaxy Ring is the first product in this segment from the mainstream which promises a week’s battery life, making it better than most smartwatches that you can buy today.
Samsung Galaxy Ring Price In India
Samsung Galaxy Ring price in India starts at Rs 38,999 and will be available in the next few days in the country.
Samsung Galaxy Ring Features
The Galaxy Ring comes in three colours, all of them made with titanium which means the gadget takes care of the durability. Having said that, it weighs up to just 3 grams which ensures you will never feel its weight on the fingers, especially while sleeping. It comes with a 10 ATM water resistance rating and promises battery life of up to 7 days. You get a charging case in which the Ring sits for charging rather than a dock or a socket.
The Ring is there to help you track sleep, monitor your heart rate 24×7 and other tracking features around fitness. You have built-in storage for the data recorded and the IP68 rating allows you to use it when wet conditions as well.
But the biggest question among most users is, do you need a Samsung phone to use the device or will it work with others also? The good news is that you can pair it with a non-Galaxy Android phone, but there is no support for iOS. If you use it with a Galaxy phone, the number of features you get are higher than with a non-Galaxy phone.
The product doesn’t have a subscription but even then it costs a lot more than what you pay for the Ultrahuman Ring Air, Oura and local brands like Noise and Pebble in case you don’t want to spend big.
