Google says almost 70% of enterprises use its ‘Help me write’ feature in Docs

At its inaugural Google Workplace Media Summit, Google showcased how workplaces were adopting AI. Indian companies including HCL Software, Zomato, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd and JK Cement said they were leveraging Google Workspace to improve internal communication, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity at the summit titled ‘Bring AI to Work’ in India.

Almost 70% of enterprises utilise the ‘Help me write’ feature in Docs or Gemini in Gmail incorporating and over 75% of users generate images in slides. The event also highlighted that as a result of deeper integration of AI tools, 31% of leaders expected substantial transformation from AI in less than a year

.Google Workspace saves companies 171 hours per user annually—equivalent to an extra month of work to the year, per an analysis by Forrester. It also reduces on-demand tech support costs by 20% and delivers a 331% ROI.

Applications also have improved safety features like Gmail’s spam protection which is able to analyse 1,000 times more user-reported spam daily due to AI models. Google Drive is also able to respond faster to novel spam and phishing attacks by 90%. Google also has higher internal security now due to AI-powered classification to set to identify and organise 900 million internal files and save time.
