Apple has revealed the most downloaded apps and games in 2024 from their App Store in India. While Meta’s WhatsApp is the most popular free app among iPhone users, the Forest: Focus on Productivity app is the most downloaded paid app of the year. 

Other paid apps that were a part of the list were: Money Manager, DSLR Camera, Shadowrocket, iTabla Pro and Voice Recorder. Meanwhile, the top free apps following WhatsApp were Instagram, YouTube, Google Pay and Google’s search. 

In free games, Battlegrounds Mobile India known as BGMI was the most downloaded one in the country this year while Minecraft was the most popular paid game. Other free games that were downloaded the most by iPhone users were Ludo King, Subway Surfers, Candy Crush Saga and Zupee. 

The top five on the paid iPhone games list after BGMI were Monopoly, Real Flight Simulator, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Hitman Sniper. 

The hardware company also published the top games on their monthly subscription platform, Apple Arcade - Getting Over It+, NBA 2K24 Arcade Edition, Snake.io+, Asphalt 8: Airborne+, and Angry Birds Reloaded.
